Say It Loud: Black Neurodivergent and Proud

It’s Black History Month, a time when we celebrate the many contributions of Black and African communities. That celebration must include our neurodivergent children and teens. Neurodiversity reminds us that ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other learning differences are natural expressions of human brain development. They are not deficits–they are differences with remarkable strengths.

  • Educators from Christian schools across South Florida came together to share and to learn in order to better support their students and staff. It was great to present again this year at the ESE Networking Event on the beautiful campus of Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale.

  • The presentation,  “Anxiety in the Classroom: How to Spot It and Manage It, ” is geared towards helping teachers and staff recognize and support anxious behaviors in K-12 students.
